“tialini – una storia italiana”
In search of charm for chain restaurants
At the end of our trip 17,543 km were on the clock, because at the beginning stood the question: how could we design a chain restaurant, so that it didn’t look like a chain restaurant? The Heller concept, which won the competition and then took us through Europe: authenticity by complexity of the furniture.
On the hunt for vintage furniture, handmade materials, different surfaces and especially for charm we stopped at too many flea markets to count during our drive from southern Italy to Amsterdam and Berlin and everywhere in between. We were looking for interior pieces that fit together while still preserving their individuality. And the result was a restaurant that, despite having 280 seats still feels like an original Trattoria.
Our cooperation with the Tialini chain continues, with the development of new sites such as Freiburg and Wiesbaden.
